In recent years, an excellent news source/nexis/disseminator has sprung up in the Sunshine State (which sorely needs it). Both a newsletter and a site, The Invading Sea bills itself as “a nonpartisan source for news, commentary and educational content about climate change and other environmental issues affecting Florida.”
Helmed by editor Nathan Crabbe, the site is managed by Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Environmental Studies in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science.
My new piece for The Invading Sea explores how public views on climate change have shifted as its impacts have become impossible to ignore.
“Today, the effects of human-induced climate change are an inescapable reality for most Americans, especially those of us in Florida,” I write in “What Many of Us Got Wrong About Climate Change 15 Years Ago.”
Read the piece here, and let me know what you think.
